Immune Complex¹

Our immune system is a complex defence system that identifies and “fights” pathogens and certain harmful elements that enter our body. To function normally, it requires a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle, which can be complemented by the use of appropriate supplements, the ingredients of which contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system. The vitamin A, vitamin B12, vitamin D, copper and iron contained in our products contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system¹ . In addition to supporting the immune system, these active ingredients have other physiological effects worth mentioning. For example, copper is involved in normal iron transport in the body and vitamin A is involved in normal iron metabolism. Iron, in addition to supporting the immune system, contributes to normal haemoglobin formation and is involved in normal oxygen transport in the body, and, together with vitamin B12, contributes to normal red blood cell formation.

Antioxidant Blend²

Our bodies are exposed to various oxidative stresses in our daily lives, both from internal and external sources. Humans have their own lines of defence against these effects, and external support is essential for their normal functioning, which we can provide through a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. However, in certain cases (e.g. frequent and high exposure to sunlight, smoggy working or living environments), it may be worthwhile to support these systems through dietary supplements. Relatively small molecule antioxidants (such as certain vitamins and minerals) form one of the body’s lines of defence. These include riboflavin, vitamin E, vitamin C, selenium, manganese and zinc, which contribute to the protection of cells against oxidative stress. ²

Of course, the active substances in this group also have other beneficial effects in the product. Riboflavin, for example, is involved in normal energy-producing metabolic processes, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, normal iron metabolism and the reduction of fatigue and tiredness, and helps to maintain normal red blood cell function.  Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a more widely known antioxidant, a water-soluble molecule. It is a versatile vitamin, including, for example, contributing to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E and enhancing the absorption of iron.

Selenium is a mineral found in both plant and animal food sources. In addition to its antioxidant effects, it contributes to the maintenance of normal nails and hair, and to the normal functioning of the thyroid and immune system.

Manganese is an essential mineral involved in normal energy-producing metabolic processes and contributes to the maintenance of normal bone structure. Zinc is also involved in the normal metabolism of carbohydrates, fatty acids and vitamin A.

Energy Complex³

A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle can meet our body’s energy needs, and Mega Daily One can also help to supplement this. ³That’s why we have added pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin, calcium and magnesium to our multivitamin formula, as these ingredients are involved in normal energy-producing metabolic processes and magnesium helps to reduce fatigue and tiredness.

Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin B5, contributes to the reduction of fatigue and tiredness, normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and certain neurotransmitters, and normal mental performance.

Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble molecule that, in addition to helping to reduce fatigue and tiredness, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal red blood cell formation. Biotin is involved in the normal metabolism of macronutrients and contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system. Calcium is not only involved in normal energy-producing metabolic processes, but also contributes to normal muscle function and is necessary for the maintenance of normal bone structure.

Nervous System Function Support⁴

The nervous system is an extremely complex and sophisticated system that allows the body to function and adapt to environmental changes. The nervous system controls bodily processes, movement, emotions, thinking and consciousness. The Nervous System Function Support matrix is represented by two water-soluble B vitamins and a trace mineral. ⁴ All three components, thiamine, niacin and iodine, contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Thiamine (vitamin B1) also helps to maintain normal psychological function, vitamin B3 (niacin) helps to reduce fatigue and tiredness, and iodine helps to maintain normal mental function.

Mega Daily One Blend

The Mega Daily One Blend includes folic acid, chromium and molybdenum, as well as inositol, choline, and the plant polyphenolic compounds, hesperidin and rutin. Folate (vitamin B9) is a member of the B vitamins and contributes, among other things, to the reduction of fatigue and tiredness, proper immune function and normal blood formation. Chromium is an essential trace element involved in both the normal metabolism of macronutrients and the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, and molybdenum contributes to the normal metabolism of sulphur-containing amino acids.

Inositol plays an important role as a structural basis for many secondary messengers. It is found in many foods, especially in high bran cereals, nuts, beans and fruits.^a

Choline can be synthesised by the human body. The richest natural source is egg yolk, but also meats, whole grains, vegetables and fruits, fats and oils are worth mentioning. ^b

The flavonoid compounds represented in the product are hesperidin and rutin. The main source of hesperidin is various citrus fruits, while rutin is present in a number of plants, including citrus fruits, berries and apples. Buckwheat and products made from it can also be a significant source.^c,d
